Mark grew up in Nottinghamshire
close to Attenborough nature reserve where he spent
many hours indulging his lifelong interest in nature
in general and birds in particular. After gaining degrees
at Warwick and Leeds universities he moved north of
the border to north-east Scotland with his partner Ros.
Following some volunteer video work for RSPB, Mark
switched to digital still photography and started out
on the precarious path of a freelance photographer in
an attempt to capture the regal beauty of the Scottish
highlands and it's fascinating wildlife.
The philosophy of his work is to try and communicate
a love of the natural world as an inspiration to further
protect and develop Britain's fragile and dwindling
natural habitats.
Mark's images are represented in the following stock
